Alex – Power Yoga Teacher
Meet Alex – a compassionate and creative yoga teacher whose classes are a blend of mindfulness, intentional movement, and meaningful self-connection.
Alex was first drawn to yoga through her childhood gymnastics and Pilates sessions shared with her mum over DVDs. She was captivated by yoga’s ability to build strength and flexibility without rushing, and the practice quickly became a grounding presence in her life.
During the pandemic, her home practice deepened, revealing the spiritual and emotional dimensions of yoga. What stood out most was the empowering, welcoming atmosphere — and the growing clarity of mind that came from feeling more connected to her body.
With a background in mental health, Alex sees yoga as an invaluable tool for well-being, and she believes should be more widely integrated into everyday life.
Her teaching style is both supportive and empowering. Through slow, mindful movement and breathing cues, Alex helps students reconnect with their bodies and step away from the pressures and identities they carry in daily life. Her classes are spacious and grounding, but they also include moments of intensity — building heat, strength, and a sense of accomplishment. She offers hands-on assists for those who welcome them, always aiming to meet students with presence and care.
Alex encourages her students to explore the practice beyond structure, stepping away from fixed self-perceptions and discovering a more curious, fluid, and embodied way of being. Whether someone is seeking challenge, connection, or calm, she hopes they leave class feeling seen, supported, and uplifted — with a quieter mind and a fuller heart.
Her self-care rituals reflect her teaching: nourishing, sensory, and creative. Whether she’s lighting incense, cooking a vegan meal, listening to music, or immersing herself in inspiring art, Alex makes space for beauty, reflection, and joy — and invites her students to do the same.
